If you want one with pictures, you will just need to make your overall canvas of pictures pretty squat (like say 100px). If you want just text then the default blogger one should work.
YEP, I use PICNIK.COM to edit my headings. Download your header from where ever, then upload it to picnik.com. Reduce it in size to 900PX. THEN add pics if you can. Save it to your computer and then upload it to blogger.
Also, if you use the new blog designer, you can control the width of your blog. That is how i get mine centered and just right.
