5 Weeks to go!

Now that the holidays are officially over, we are fairly consumed with thoughts of Baby. I finished many of my sewing projects last week, which I have not been able to photograph yet, but I really want to share them with you...soon, I hope. I need to go through my arsenal of teeny baby clothes and wash and sort and fold and put away. Beau gave me a gift card to Babies R Us for Christmas, and I was able to purchase the Miracle Blanket, highly recommended by my sister-in-law. I picked up an awesome Sit & Stand stroller, with the infant carseat attachment, for a cool $35 from another mommy on Craigslist. My sweet sister-in-law gifted me her baby swing and her gliding rocking chair. We think most things are covered. We are still deciding on this poor child's name...sorry, everyone. It is a daunting task, to be sure! Knowing that we are getting closer to February 6th makes my aching body feel a bit less problematic, but I am surely looking forward to meeting this sweet baby and getting to sleep on my stomach again....or sleep, period.

What?! I can't believe it's only 5 weeks away! Thank goodness for your blog. I can't wait to see pictures of your sweet boy, whatever his name may be.

Love you all,
Jill

Sounds like you're ready to go!

So...do you have a serger? Because if you do, and if you are looking for things to do to pass the time, I'm looking to hire someone with a serger to fix Q.'s brand new princess dress which got caught on something today. Poor baby only had it 48 hours and now this. It's about 12 inches, I think, which needs repair. Know of anyone who can help me?

The Miracle Blanket sounds cool! And we have the Sit & Stand stroller, have had it for three years, actually, and it is wonderful. It will serve you well.

Brandy- if only you knew how much I WISHED I had a serger....alas, that is on my long-term gift list! I would love to help, but I can't right now. And I don't know of anyone who can help, unless you want to go into Strawberry Patches. : )

I wish you had one too, but not because I need help--because I know how much you'd love it! I think I might have to get creative here. Drat. :)

Hope you had wonderfully happy holidays. Can't wait to meet that baby!

Thanks, Kathryn! I can't believe it is almost here...I am going to check out those links you gave me. Have you made a carseat cover? I am just stuck at how to accurately sew the holes for the seatbelt. Everything else seems to have miraculously worked out so far..but I'm stuck : )

Brandy-
I'm happy to attempt to help with my regular machine if you want me to.

i planned on making a car seat cover. but by the time i got around to it, my son was in the larger carseat, lol. for the strap holes, my pattern said to mark the original holes on a piece of tracing pattern paper. then when your new cover is on, lie the pattern on it and make your cuts. they used a buttonhole stitch. probably doesn't help you, but that's what mine said. good luck! hope to see completed pictures of it soon :)
