The Bird Dog

Early this morning, I was out in the backyard. My dog Shane was trotting next to me.

Shane darted into the bushes. He sat still for a minute, then pounced. He brought out a bird!
He proudly laid it at my feet. I looked at it, confused, then walked away. I wanted to use a badminton racquet to launch it onto the street, but I waited a few minutes to see what would happen.

Shane picked it back up, gave it a good shake, then started eating it. He ate the whole thing! Feathers and all. I watched him for the entire 30 minutes.

Fascinating. I considered waking the children up to watch, but decided against it.

Ah, the joys of suburbia.

* * *
9 weeks pregnant. I started bleeding last Tuesday and was convinced I had miscarried again. However, I had an ultrasound on Wednesday morning and I got to see the teeny little Woodward, heart beating quickly, very much alive.

Praise God. I didn't want to be pregnant at first. I was kind of mad. I had other plans. But then I began getting excited. Imagine my confusion when I thought I was losing the baby! What in the world is the Lord trying to teach me?

But at this point, everything looks okay. We are on track for a fourth biological child around February 19th.

That seems really, really far away.

I will be praying that your pregnancy goes fine and that you just had a bleep on the radar. So glad you saw the heartbeat. God just wants you to teach you things. I know when I lost a baby that I was not happy about the timing I was so devastated, and then I couldn't get pregnant again. It was terrible but I learned that it was a gift and never again did I ever feel that way. I wanted to be skinny more than have a baby.
You know what, I have never been skinny since. :) I thought having babies was better. :)
After I gave up that part of my self, then I got pregnant five more times. :)With never a blip on the radar.

That's just... Gross. Lol. I guess maybe next time you'll take the presents from the dog!

I'm so glad your little one is still with you. I think God is teaching you "Be happy with what you are given!". He likes to teach that one to me a lot. :) Praying that everything goes well for the remainder and can't wait to see your new little one! Remember, there's nothing better than more babies! :D

Since I'm not sure how to email you, here's the site where I got Simcity 2000. http://www.myabandonware.com/game/simcity-2000-1nf#download

If it won't run on its own in Windows, you can plug it into D-fend and run it in that. http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/

D-fend runs all the old DOS games when Windows won't do it.
